I hope you had a great Christmas! Mine was fairly low key with the morning over at my parents' house and then over to our traditional lunch at the Palace Hotel, a beautiful old hotel in Downtown San Francisco. The restaurant is all skylights and during the day it's just so pretty inside.
It was a bit more dim than usual there yesterday because it had rained in the morning and was still a bit overcast, but still bright enough and nice in the Garden Court.
Every year, they have a small display of gingerbread houses made by local celebrities and other notable people, which is always fun to see.
This one is supposed to be the Transamerica Pyramid, a local landmark
I loved this violin one!
My family doesn't go too overboard with holidays, so our only real tradition is to go to the Palace for either lunch or dinner on Christmas. This year, there were notably less people there, which is probably due to the economy and people scaling back on indulgences. My parents are huge foodies, so we wouldn't miss it!
