After a week of laziness and being unproductive, I have been on a mad dash all weekend to run errands and get things checked off of my to do list. Friday night, I went on a shopping expedition to Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, JoAnn's, Marshall's and Ross. I got all new bedding for my new bed, a new knife block and knives, fabric, yarn for a project and other little bits. I couldn't find a pair of boots like I wanted, but I did enough damage to my credit cards.
Yesterday and today I have been cleaning out my house like a mad woman. I've cleaned out almost a whole book case, a bunch of cds, a few purses and scarves, and a lot of junk. I also went through my precious shoe collection and went from 85 pairs down to 47. It was hard letting go of some of them, but I know I'll never wear them again so it feels better giving them to Goodwill where hopefully someone will appreciate them. I mean, if you go through your closet and are surprised to find what you have in there and forgot you had it, you probably don't need it right? So, I've done the accessories and will move on to the jewelry, makeup and clothes. The clothes are going to be the hardest, but I don't even wear half of what I have in there so it might as well go out the door too.
I've also altered some clothes, vacuumed, dusted, done the dishes (my absolute most hated household chore) and cleaned out a kitchen junk drawer. I think it's time for a break and a cup of tea in a minute!
Yesterday I tried to do some marketing for my Patisserie Jolie soaps and am happy to say I have been accepted as a vendor for the upcoming LolliShops marketplace!
LolliShops will open soon and will have vendors selling vintage items, supplies and other lovely little things, mostly in the cottage style. I think my dessert themed soaps fit in well with the sugary sweetness of the site. More on that when the shopping goes live.
I also added a few new soaps to the Etsy shop for good measure, including a couple holiday scents. Up now are sugar cookie (a hit at Renegade Craft Fair), hot cocoa, rum nut cake and a chocolate bundt cake. Check it all out here.
